Confidence among US homebuilders advanced to a seven-month high in November on a jump in sales expectations and optimism a Trump administration will ease regulatory burdens. A gauge of housing market conditions climbed 3 points to 46 this month, exceeding all estimates.
In the Northeast, builder confidence rose 7 points to 59 this month. Builder confidence is significantly higher than the National average of 46 and higher than any region.
Streamline Communities was wondering why the builder confidence is so much higher than the rest of US and asked ChatGPT. This is the conclusion:
“The high builder confidence in the Northeast reflects a combination of economic factors, including strong local demand, limited housing inventory, and regional economic resilience. While national trends may impact the broader housing market, the Northeast’s specific conditions create an environment where builders are optimistic about the prospects for new home construction.”
In recent weeks, we’ve witnessed the same positive sentiment from our new home builder clients and seeing an uptick in on-line and on-site visitor traffic. We are looking forward to a robust 2024!
